We have simplified our warranty which can be found on the last page. Despite the long warranty a galvalume metal roof when properly maintained over its lifetime will last in upwards of 30 40 years. Most galvalume metal roofs come with a 25 year warranty if the metal roofing manufacturer is using galvalume with a full az55 coating. Surface rust as shown in the photo is not covered by the galvalume warranty.

These factors combine to make galvalume coated panels a smarter long term investment for homes agricultural buildings or commercial properties. Galvalume coated panels and they carry a 20 year limited warranty while galvanized panels do not. The zinc aluminum alloy provides corrosion resistance that is in most cases superior to galvanized steel which is is coated with a very thin layer of zinc. Galvalume substrates or high zinc content g100 or greater galvanized substrates offer the best protection against corrosion.

The common material of choice for inland metal roofing is a zinc aluminum coated steel often referred to by the trade name galvalume. This warranty does not apply in the event of deterioration of the panels caused directly or indirectly by panel contact with fasteners. Galvalume carries a warranty from the steel mills that protects against perforation or rust through of the substrate but not surface rust. The selection of suitable long lasting fasteners to be used with galvalume roofing and siding panels rest solely with the buyer.
