I am wondering what my next step troubleshooting should be. I have tried several bulbs a new light socket and a separate lamp connected to the two power lines black and white. Candelabra bulbs are even short lived indoors and are not. If there is a photo sensor between the base of your yard light and your light fixture and the tester does not light up the photo sensor may need to be replaced.

This must be a yard post light with 3 lamps. I have checked the power to the light many times it keeps lighting the 120v on the power checker. We replaced the sensor. I replaced the switch hoping it would be an easy fix but no luck.

We found the sensor was partly melted we figured from a lightening storm. If the tester does not light there is an issue with the wiring between the base and the top of the yard lamp and the wiring could need to be replaced. I recently had work done to my front walkway.
